Cards & tiering

🖱️ Click any card's title or body to expand it and see all ~19 stats, not just the 3 shown up front.

🥇 The row under each card lets you mark Gold / Silver / Bronze favorites or "owned" in one click — no need to expand first. Gold is your absolute favorite, Silver the next tier down, Bronze the one after that — this tiering is the single thing that drives your ★ GOAT Match score and recommendations everywhere in the app. That row always sits at the bottom of the card, so it lines up card to card no matter how long a title is or whether you're in compact or comfortable view.

🏷️ Genre, vibe, format and platform tags inside an expanded card are read-only — just information, like the stat bars next to them.

🔗 "Cross-medium pairings" and "If you like this, cross over to" inside an expanded card are clickable — click one to jump straight to it in the Global Controller search.

Accounts & your profile

☁️ Sign into an account (top right) to sync your picks across devices — type any name; the same name anywhere brings it all back. Every profile — tiers, owned formats, pinned sliders, theme, everything — is remembered per account.

⬇ Export / Import / Reset (top right, "Profile") back up your whole profile to a file, load one back in, or start blank.

Global Controller · filtering & sorting

🔍 Omni-Search matches on title, creator, studio, genre, vibe, and year all at once — try a director's name, a network, or just a year.

🏷️ Genre chips under the main filters let you click any genre to filter straight to it — click again to clear it.

📌 Pin any slider you use a lot — from Advanced Filters, or the specialized index thresholds inside it — so it shows up in the always-visible "Your 5 quick filters" row up top instead of staying tucked away. Both the pinned row and Advanced Filters start in alphabetical order.

▶ Advanced Filters & Indices (collapsed by default) stacks as many specialized index thresholds as you like — dread, complexity, awe, and more — on top of the main filters.

🔀 The Sort dropdown is grouped by category — Reception, Craft & Fidelity, Mood & Feel, Depth & Ideas — with each group alphabetized, so related sorts sit together instead of one long list.

🕳 Rabbit Hole and 🎲 Surprise Me, both here in the Global Controller, pull a weighted pick for you — Rabbit Hole starts a connected journey across media from one of your top matches, Surprise Me spins by mood, medium, ownership, or how much time you have.

★ This tab has a full search to declare Gold/Silver/Bronze favorites directly across the whole corpus, plus your generated taste breakdown (Taste DNA) and personalized recommendations by category.

Contenders Ledger

🔮 This tab tracks not-yet-released or not-yet-reconciled titles — upcoming films, shows, games and books — each with a "For You" gauge (personalized anticipation) alongside an "Editorial" gauge (general GOAT probability).

◉ Spot-checked means the release/window info was verified against live sources on that date; unverified entries still run on the original editorial estimate. Filter to Verified-only or Unverified-only, by medium, or sort by For You / Editorial / Title / Release Window.

✓ "IN LEDGER — VIEW SCORE" appears once a contender has released and been reconciled into the scored corpus — click it to jump straight to its real entry in the Global Controller.

Creator Archives

🎬 Three pantheons — Directors, Authors, and Gaming Auteurs — each a set of flip-cards. Click a card to flip it and see their core themes and every one of their works on the ledger, ranked by score.

🔎 Search looks across all three pantheons at once by default (scope it to just one with the segmented control next to it), and you can sort A–Z or by number of works.

Reference Matrices

🏆 Each bracket is a themed leaderboard — 4K Reference Tier, Cosmic Dread, Iconic, Tearjerker, and many more — ranked by the index named in its subtitle. Personal GOAT-match rankings live on the GOAT Profile tab instead, so these stay canonical rather than duplicating that.

🧭 "Jump to a bracket" up top is a searchable pill nav so you can reach any of the 20 brackets without scrolling past the rest; "Owned only" filters every bracket down to just what's in your collection at once.

Visualization Suite

🫧 The bubble chart plots Critical vs. Audience score for whatever's currently in scope (your live Global Controller filters apply to it) — bubble size is Technical score, and you can filter it to one medium or a minimum score.

🕸 The radar chart compares up to three titles or creators (averaged across their works) across Critical, Audience, Technical, Dread, and Complexity — pick each of the three slots from the searchable dropdowns.

📊 The decade chart stacks how many works per decade qualify by medium, spanning your data's real range (pre-1900 works are folded into one leading bar).

◷ Timeline

📊 The decade histogram is clickable — click a bar to open that decade in the Global Controller, or tap the 🔍 on a bar to preview its top matches right here without leaving the tab. Scope it to your owned collection or everything, and filter by medium.

🏛 Era rows below the chart (Antiquity through The Present) group your in-scope works chronologically, each showing its top matches first with a "Show all" to expand the rest.
